Acclaimed chef Asimakis Chaniotis, formerly of the Michelin-starred Pied à Terre, is set to launch his debut restaurant, Myrtos, in South Kensington this May.

Inspired by his Greek heritage and named after Myrtos Beach in Kefalonia, the restaurant will offer a refined take on traditional Greek cuisine, blending technical precision with authentic flavours.
Myrtos will bring a taste of Greece’s rich culinary traditions to London. Its menu is designed for sharing, featuring mezze-style small plates as well as larger, taverna-inspired dishes.

Standout offerings include:
Lobster Giouvetsi with orzo, tomatoes, mussels, lemon, and basil
Pink Bream with a traditional Greek lemon-egg sauce
Snail Flatbread, Asimakis’ take on a Cretan delicacy
Savoy Cabbage Skewers with tzatziki & Squid with Greek Herb Chimichurri

The 80-cover restaurant will reflect Greece’s rugged beauty, with an olive tree centrepiece, moon-like lighting, and contemporary artwork from Yorgos Papadopoulos and Christos Raptis. Outdoor seating will echo Athenian café culture, which is ideal for relaxed dining.
Adding to the experience, Myrtos will feature a cocktail list curated by Line (Athens), ranked No.6 in the World’s 50 Best Bars. Highlights include a Mediterranean Martini with Kalamata olives and a Spiced Pomegranate Mule.
Speaking about the launch, Asimakis said:
"Opening Myrtos is deeply personal—it's a tribute to my childhood and the flavors that shaped my journey. South Kensington, my first home in London, felt like the perfect place to bring this vision to life.”
Myrtos will be located at 260-262 Brompton Road, SW3 2AS, joining an esteemed neighbourhood of dining institutions, including Bibendum and Daphne’s.
