Daroco has announced a new and improved lunch offering which will see the restaurant's most loved dishes served in lighter portions best suited for sharing.
At £17 a head, the tapas-style menu can be enjoyed between 12 PM – 3 PM, and can be served in under 45 minutes for power-hour dining of light bites that won't leave you feeling like you need a nap.
Antipasti include arancini, carpaccios of beef and of fish, tomato and olive focaccia and our favourite, stracciatella with bottarga and a portion of toasted homemade bread.
For mains, choose between dishes including spaghetti and tomato sauce, farro salad and this pappardelle with venison. (There is a ravioli with truffle which is available at lunchtime but not included in the set lunch offer.)
One of the highlights of the lunch menu was this creamy and well balanced tiramisu, which we would recommend as an indulgent end to the meal. It's good value but be careful with the drinks if you are on a budget as prices start at a hefty £10 for a 125ml glass of house wine.
The restaurant is smart and stylish (with a very Instagrammable pizza oven, covered with blue butterflies) and large terrace for summer dining. Staff were absolutely lovely and could not have been more helpful; perhaps a trip back to try the pizza is in order.
