Il Gattopardo, the chic Italian restaurant on Mayfair’s Albemarle Street, is celebrating the upcoming and highly revered white truffle season with the addition of five signature dishes showcasing elements of tartufo bianco.
From November, diners will be able to enjoy:
● Carpaccio di Manzo - black angus carpaccio, porcini, mustard & pink peppercorn, shaved white truffle (£48)
● Tartufo Pizzette - Squacquerone cheese, caramelised onion, shaved white truffle (£55)
● Tagliolini al tartufo - homemade fresh tagliolini, butter & truffle emulsion, aged parmesan, shaved white truffle (£64)
● Tomino Tartufo - grilled Tomino cheese served with shaved white truffle and crispy pane carasau (£42)
● Gelato Cioccolato - White chocolate ice cream, shaved white truffle, Barolo Chinato (£38)
In addition, any dish on the Il Gattopardo à la carte menu will also have the option to be adorned with a shaving of white truffles, sourced by Executive Chef Massimo Pasquarelli from the renowned truffle-producing regions of Italy, for £10 per gram.
Highly seasonal and a celebration of Italian food provenance, partnered with its luxurious and prized reputation, white truffle season is an honoured annual event in the culinary calendar. Il Gattopardo, with its refined menu of contemporary Italian classics and elegant interiors, provides the perfect opportunity to enjoy this delicacy as part of a special lunch or dinner this autumn.
