This summer, The London Cabaret Club brings Brazilian beach vibes to the luxurious Bloomsbury Ballroom with ‘Copacabana,’ a vibrant and colourful production with a range of tickets available, including the option of canapés and cocktails with the pre-show entertainment followed by a three- to four-course South American-themed dinner with the show.
"Our inspiration for the Copacabana show stems from our rich Latin heritage. We aim to create an elegant and vibrant South American-themed performance that showcases the beauty and diversity of our culture. By blending authentic Latin music with popular Anglo hits sung in English, such as 'Copacabana' by Barry Manilow and 'I Like It Like That' by Pete Rodriguez, we strive to deliver a unique and unforgettable experience. This fusion of musical styles highlights the universal appeal of Latin rhythms while celebrating the timeless classics that everyone loves.”

Set across three distinctive acts, the show takes audiences on a glamorous journey through the ‘Copacabana’ theme. The first act opens with samba dancers in sparkling costumes and feathered headdresses, bringing carnival vibes to the dancefloor.
If your chosen package includes the meal, it is served alongside the show. We tried the Diamond Package and chose these delicious seared diver scallops with nduja butter, aguachile verde and lemon crumb as our starter.
Act two shifts focus to a different ‘Copacabana’—the world-renowned New York City nightclub, famous for its celebrity clientele and early performances by legends like Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis, and a much-fabled setting featured in numerous award-winning films. For our main course we chose this superbly tender Argentinian beef fillet with chimichurri sauce, crispy potato, charred corn and jus.
Act three introduces ‘Lola The Showgirl,’ the Latin dancer immortalised in Barry Manilow’s iconic ‘Copacabana’ theme tune - which, I warn you, will be stuck in your head for days!
For dessert we had the Tres Leches cake with vanilla ice cream and salted dulce de leche, and the bitter chocolate crémeux with Maldon salt. Both were indulgent, rich but well balanced; overall we were very impressed with the quality of the food, which can so often be an afterthought at events like this. Here it has clearly been given at least an equal billing, making the whole evening feel like a truly glamorous treat.
There are also some impressive aerial displays towards the end of the evening, before DJs take to the decks for an afterparty so guests can take their turn on the dancefloor.
Copacabana runs from 27th June-26th October 2024, at the London Cabaret Club. Ticket options run from Silver through to Royal Diamond; click here for full details and to book for a fabulous night out.
