Review: Tavola's Breakfast Menu

Rise and Shine, Leamington Spa – there’s a new breakfast menu in town!

Since opening its doors as Tavola in May, customer demand for their authentic Italian menu has been heard – and now the popular restaurant is also open for breakfast feasting!

From light, aromatic Frittatas to their Tuscan Breakfast, packed with sautéed porcini mushrooms, Italian sausage, and baby roasted potatoes, there’s something for every morning craving – but always with that special authenticity Tavola has become known for.

Among the menu’s dishes are: Frittata di verdure – Italian-style omelette with porcini mushrooms, tomatoes, and onions; Uova strapazzate al tartufo – Truffle scrambled eggs on toasted focaccia; Bruschetta salmon and eggs – Smoked salmon with poached eggs on pesto focaccia; Italian sausage rolls wrapped in rosemary focaccia; and their Tuscan Vegan Breakfast.

Or, for those who need to grab and go, Coffee and Pastry or delicious Breakfast Roll combos start at just £4.99!

Tavola has been inspired by Italian surrealist painters of the 1920's, marking the boldest change yet for this well-known Clarendon Street eatery, formerly 44 Café and Bar.

Always welcoming diners with a warm welcoming smile is Luke Hampson, who stayed on as front of house manager and mixologist after several years in the business’s more recent history.

Central to the restaurant’s culinary identity though is Tuscan executive chef Martin Serafino, whose passion for authentic Italian cooking shines through in his new morning menu, the secret to which, he says, is a combination of ‘tradition and innovation.’

Tavola is a homage to the bars and trattoria of northern Italy and Rome where the best Italian ingredients are prepared with love, care, and skill and where hospitality is done right. So why wouldn’t we embrace even more opportunity to savor it?

The team have worked hard to create somewhere the local neighbourhood can be proud of, somewhere their guests will always arrive feeling welcomed, and leave feeling satisfied.

And their breakfast offerings are a welcome addition indeed – especially at the moment, as a way of fueling up ahead of a busy Christmas shopping day.

The food is plentiful and delicious – and, best of all, there’s a taste of Italy in every bite. It is served daily between 8:30am-12pm.

But, if you’re more of an afternoon person, visitors to Tavola - which translates from Italian as ‘a table you would dine at’ - can choose from a new Bottomless Brunch Menu, available every day of the week between 11am-4pm. And, of course, there’s the main Food Menu from lunchtime – including, quite simply the best sandwich in town – made using Schiacciatta, a traditional Tuscan flatbread. But bring your appetite!
