Reviewed: Côte Brasserie Autumn Menu with gluten-free options.

Just like that, summer is over and we're just a week away from the crunchy leaves and cosy evenings of Autumn. We headed to Côte to check out their new autumn seasonal specials, as well as their extensive gluten-free menu (which is coeliac UK accreditated, so you know you're in safe hands).

Brand new this month (until 11th October) are a range of autumn-themed specials, which include Moules Normande (British mussels, £7,25 starter, £14.25 main) and Pork Tomahawk (£39.95 for two to share).

Starters

For starters, we opted for the Fig and Bayonne Ham Salad (£7.95); one of Cote's signature autumn seasonal specials (which can also be made gluten-free). The sweetness of the fig, complemented the crispy green leaves and salty ham perfectly-with the Roquefort dressing adding a dollop of creaminess to the dish. We also chose the Crab Maison (£9.95) from Côte's regular menu: a mix of creamy mayonnaise, fresh crab, crisp cucumber, and avocado-perfectly accompanied with brown seeded gluten-free bread. Both were enjoyed with a glass of house red and Côte's garlic and herb olives (£3.25)

Main Dishes

For the mains, we opted for the Breton Fish Stew (£15.75), a hearty fish stew with layers of mussels, prawns, seabass, and squid; all stewed and covered with a tangy, white wine, chili, and tomato sauce-with even more gluten-free bread for dipping of course. The perfect comfort dish for Autumn. We also opted for the Monkfish Normande (£19.95); which pairs crispy, fresh monkfish with warm and comforting Normandy cider, fennel, and apple. We couldn't resist also ordering a side of tripple-cooked truffle chips (£4.75) which were crisped to perfection. Both dishes were made gluten-free (and Côte also uses a special 'gluten-free flag' so customers can feel 100% confident their order is correct.

Desert

Whilst we were pretty stuffed, we couldn't resist sharing the gluten-free cheeseboard for one (£7.25). We loved how we could personalise this by selecting our own cheeses-and the generous selection also comes with fruit, caramelised onion, and gluten-free bread for me (and a side of regular bread for my partner which was separated to avoid cross-contamination)

We were so impressed by the range of dishes available at Côte-with exclusive gluten-free and vegan menus available too.
