The Butchers Social Launches 'At Home' Service

The Butchers Social has launched an at-home service just in time for Christmas. Live cookery classes with award-winning chef-proprietor Mike Bullard are on offer, as well as pre-prepared meals featuring some of the restaurant’s best-loved dishes, seasonal hampers, Christmas menus, wine, gifts and more.

Having pivoted during the first lockdown, turning into a community store in its previous location in Henley-in-Arden, The Butchers Social has adapted to the global pandemic once again as the team prepares to open a brand-new site early next year.

With restrictions still in place across the West Midlands and Warwickshire, The Butchers Social has launched an online store that gives foodies a chance to enjoy a taste of the award-winning restaurant in the comfort of their own home.

A selection of pre-prepared meals helps food lovers re-create their favourite moments from The Butchers Social, with dishes like Slow-Cooked Shoulder of Lamb, Wild Game Hot Pot, and Blade of Hereford Beef Bourguignon taking centre stage. Dishes can be ordered as individual portions every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and are available for both delivery and collection.

Rather than slaving over a hot stove this Christmas, you can also choose a three-course menu for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or Boxing Day (or all three, of course) to take your festive feast to the next level. All meals are hand-delivered on 23 and 24 December, direct to your door; all you have to do is heat and serve, leaving more time for watching the Queen’s speech.

Whilst Christmas parties are off the menu this year, households will still be able to celebrate, with a carefully-selected Wine Cellar full of The Butchers Social’s finest serves. Featuring some of the most popular wines from the past four years, there are charming whites, crisp rosés, velvety reds and celebratory champagnes to suit any palate.

If it’s gifts you’re looking for, the brand new online store has three seasonal hampers on offer; packed full with delicious cheeses and charcuteries, as well as some hand-picked treats. Perfect for friends, family and colleagues – or just a treat for yourself – these hampers will be available all year round and tailored for diary dates such as Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Wimbledon, and more.

However, the pièce de resistance is a newly-launched Butchers Social Cook A Long Live, where you’ll learn new skills from the man himself – Mike Bullard – from the comfort of your own home. The first session will take place on 11 December and includes a box of fresh ingredients delivered to your door, ahead of a live 1.5 hour cookery class where you’ll improve your culinary skills and learn some tricks of the trade. Taking place weekly, each class will include a two or three-course meal and ingredients to serve two people.

Commenting on the launch of The Butchers Social Online, Mike said:

“We’re really excited to be opening a bigger, brand-new restaurant but as we won’t have the doors open until early next year, I wanted to give people a taste of The Butchers Social at Home. Especially given that this will be a Christmas like no other, it’s so important that we enjoy the little indulgences in life, whilst also supporting our local hospitality businesses. It’s certainly not an easy time to be a restaurant owner, but I love that I can keep doing what I’m passionate about and bringing people together through the power of food.”

The Butchers Social will also be offering 1-2-1 cookery classes, as well as gift vouchers and a selection of branded gifts, all available online. Visit the www.thebutchers.social to find out more.
