On Wednesday 17th November, The Forge will host an exclusive wine dinner, in collaboration with fabulous wine tasting events consultancy, Club Vino.
Hosted in the intimate private dining room, the evening will include a beautifully prepared three course dinner, with a cheese course to finish, celebrating The Forge’s passion for British ingredients and wild produce.
Master sommelier and Club Vino founder, Marco Castelanelli, has expertly selected wine pairings for each course, which complement each dish exceptionally and showcase the incredible flavours of both the food and the wines.
Dishes from the exclusive menu include:
Hand-dived Orkney scallop baked in the flames
Orkney Islands, XO, dashi, sea herbs, apple, roe
Grilled haunch of wild fallow deer
Bathurst Estate, Cotswolds roast bone marrow, dirty mash & deer gravy
Chocolate orange souffle
Sussex, crème fraiche ice cream
With spaces available for just 12 guests, the evening is priced at £100pp, including all courses and wine pairings using some of the UK’s finest wines.
Club Vino delivers premium wine tasting events using wines carefully sourced from boutique and family-owned wine producers, using their expert knowledge and passion for the industry to hand select each pairing to the highest standard.
The Forge is Chef and restaurateur Mike Robinson newest opening, bringing his enthusiasm for British food and drink to Chester. With a 70-cover restaurant, cocktail bar and 12-cover private dining room, The Forge continues Robinson’s passion for British food, using only British ingredients, with an emphasis on wild produce and sustainability. The open kitchen cooks over wood and charcoal, using amazing wild and locally reared meat, that is all aged on the premises.
