Review: Vin Crowd

Spritzer anyone? Writer Hannah Howard takes a look at Vin Crowd's range of wine spritzer's. And should you grab a can?

Whilst it feels like summer seems like is on hiatus, we’re all looking for anything to bring on those good feelings, walks in the sun, trips to the beach, late nights giggling on the patio. But fear not I have been supplied with the ultimate staycation package so you can still bring the spirit of sunshine into your glass with the new range of spitz from The Vin Crowd.

The only thing that could have had me more excited was if the handsome barman on the box delivered them in person.

When a G&T seems too daunting and a glass of wine seems a little too formal this is where The Vin Crowd proudly steps forward and proclaims “Hold my drink” whilst thoroughly encouraging you to take a sip.

Perfect for a pairing with a picnic and premiering with 3 low-calorie spritz The Vin Crowd is arriving in style and totally vegan!

Offering a bright clean white spritz with hints of peaches and pear, a pink spritz bursting with juicy strawberries and a gin and raspberry based Botanical Spritz. The gin fiend in me was instantly drawn to the Botanical Spritz. I filled a glass full of ice and sat down with it to enjoy the British summertime. That’s right watching a rainstorm whilst sat under a duvet. The flavour was almost floral and sweet without the background fire sometimes accompanied by a large measure of your favourite pink gin.

The white spritz is slightly drier and reminiscent of white wine spritzers you have in a terrace bar when the sun is shining and you spend the afternoon people-watching with your bestie. in a glass full of ice and with a few slices of peach it really was a burst of summer in a tin!

Vin Crowd is currently stocked in selected Co-op, Costcutter and Nisa stores and is also available on skinnybooze.co.uk , RRP £2.25.
